Gwanggyo Lake Park is Suwon’s polished modern park experience, built around water, boardwalks, lawns, and apartment-tower reflections. It is a very different mood from Hwaseong Fortress: newer, smoother, and more about evening strolling than dynastic history.
The park is especially good near sunset and after dark, when the paths, bridges, and surrounding skyline start to glow. Bring it into a Suwon itinerary when you want a low-pressure walk, coffee, and a glimpse of contemporary Korean urban life.
