A large hillside park on Khao Kho Hong, about 6 km northeast of the city centre, with a long flight of stairs (or a cable car) climbing past a giant golden standing Buddha, Phra Phuttha Mongkol Maharaj, to a hilltop shrine with a four-faced Brahma. From the top there are panoramic views across the city and out to the surrounding plains — particularly worth doing at sunset.
The grounds are vast and spread out, with an aviary, a pond pavilion, food stalls and a statue of King Rama V among the attractions. Open daily, roughly 9am–8pm; the cable car runs a shorter schedule for a modest fee.
