Wong Amat Beach is at the northern end of Pattaya, beyond the main resort strip. It is quieter and cleaner than central Pattaya Beach, and the high-end hotels that line it keep the beach relatively well-maintained. The water is calmer here and better for swimming.
This is Pattaya for people who want to avoid the worst of the crowd but still be within easy reach of the city. Naklua Market, a short walk inland, is good for fresh seafood in the evenings. The beach is easily reached by songthaew from Beach Road.
