The Murat Paşa Mosque is one of the oldest Ottoman mosques in Antalya, standing in the Muratpaşa district that bears its name. Built in the 16th century, it has a single dome and a portico of reused Roman and Byzantine columns — a common Ottoman practice in a region with so many ancient ruins available for repurposing.
The mosque gives its name to the surrounding borough (Muratpaşa) and remains a functioning neighbourhood mosque. It is quieter and more authentic feeling than the more tourist-visited mosques in Kaleiçi.
