Çavuşin

A cave-house village near Göreme, known for rock-cut churches and valley walks

Çavuşin is a small village near Göreme where old cave houses and rock-cut churches climb into the soft Cappadocian cliffs. It is less concentrated than the Göreme Open-Air Museum, but that looseness makes it rewarding to wander.

Use it as a walking link between Rose Valley, Red Valley, and the northern routes toward Avanos. The village gives you the Cappadocia mix in miniature: lived-in lanes, abandoned cave rooms, churches, dust, and sudden views.
