Iztuzu Beach

Pristine turtle nesting beach where the Dalyan River meets the sea

A 4.5km sweep of sand where the Dalyan River meets the sea. Iztuzu is one of the main loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) nesting beaches in the Mediterranean, which has kept development off it. From May to October, access is restricted after 8pm so the turtles can nest undisturbed, and a section near the dunes is cordoned off during the day. Boats from Dalyan take about 20 minutes; there are also minibuses from town. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available at the river end of the beach.
