Cağaloğlu Hamamı

Cağaloğlu Hamamı is one of Istanbul's great Ottoman bathhouses, opened in 1741 near Sultanahmet. It was the last major imperial-era hamam built in the city and still has the domed rooms, marble platforms, and ceremonial rhythm that make a Turkish bath more than a spa treatment. It is now aimed mostly at visitors and priced accordingly, but the architecture and long history make it a memorable splurge.
