Side has two beaches, one on each side of the peninsula. The West Beach stretches 30km toward Manavgat and is the more popular of the two, with calm shallow water good for children, sun beds for rent, and beach bars. The East Beach is shorter but less crowded; the water is slightly rougher here and conditions suit water sports.
Both beaches get crowded in July and August. May, June, September, and October offer pleasant swimming weather without the peak-season crush.
