The Manavgat Waterfall, 5km north, is an easy half-day trip: the falls themselves are modest but the setting is pleasant and there are fish restaurants alongside. Köprülü Canyon, about 50km north, is the main destination for white-water rafting in this part of Turkey, with two intact Roman bridges spanning the gorge. Aspendos, 35km west, has one of the best-preserved Roman theatres in the entire Mediterranean world — still used for operas in summer.
Antalya, 75km west, makes a full day out with its old harbour quarter (Kaleiçi) and the excellent Antalya Museum, which holds the finds from the region's Roman sites.
