Temple of Apollo

Five standing columns on a headland, iconic at sunset

Five Corinthian columns still stand on a headland at the tip of the Side peninsula, looking out over the sea. The temple dates from the 2nd century AD and stands alongside the remains of a Temple of Athena. The sunset view from here — columns silhouetted against the sea — is one of the most photographed sights in southern Turkey.
