An evening dinner cruise on the Dubai Creek aboard a traditional wooden dhow is one of the city's most consistently enjoyable tourist experiences. The cruise takes about two hours, covering the Creek from the Bur Dubai waterfront to the mouth near Al Shindagha and back, with a buffet dinner served on board.
The main draw is the scenery: the Creek at night, lit up on both banks, with the old mosques and wind towers on one side and the Deira commercial waterfront on the other, is quite beautiful. The dhows are decorated with lights and the whole effect is pleasantly theatrical. Dozens of operators run similar trips; prices are typically 80–150 AED per person including dinner.
