Built in 1916 in the Shindagha heritage district, this 1,250-square-metre house belonged to a prominent local merchant. The two-storey structure is made of stone and mud in traditional Gulf style, with carved wooden windows, heavy teak doors and decorative plaster facades. After restoration it was converted into a small museum documenting domestic life in early twentieth-century Dubai. Admission is free. During Ramadan, hours are reduced: Saturday to Thursday 9 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
