A long-running Uzbek restaurant that aims a notch above the standard chaikhana — embroidered cushions, traditional tableware, and a fully realised menu of national dishes. The lagman noodle soup, the manti dumplings, and the chuchvara (Uzbek wonton soup) are all worth ordering.
Service is friendlier than typical Soviet-style restaurants and the bilingual menu helps. Prices are mid-range — a meal with drinks comes to perhaps fifteen dollars a head. A good evening choice in the centre.
