Phu Quoc's best beaches are on the west coast, where the Gulf of Thailand is generally calm and the sunsets can be extraordinary. Long Beach is the most developed and convenient, running south from Duong Dong town for about 20 km. Further north, Ong Lang and Cua Can beaches are quieter. The northern beaches — Ganh Dau and Mui Gao — are undeveloped and remote.
