Katoomba is better served by cafes than bars, reflecting its character as a day-trip destination rather than a nightlife hub. The main street has several good coffee spots that open early for hikers and walkers, and a handful of wine bars and pubs that come alive on weekend evenings. The Carrington Hotel's bar is the most atmospheric place for a drink.
