Katoomba is about 100 km west of Sydney and easy to reach by public transport. The train is the most convenient option — the Blue Mountains Line runs direct from Sydney Central to Katoomba in roughly two hours, with services approximately every hour on weekdays. The train arrives right in the town centre, a 15-minute walk from Echo Point.
By car, take the Great Western Highway (M4 and then A32) from Sydney. The drive takes around 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Parking near Echo Point is plentiful but can fill up on busy weekends.
