The main attractions in Katoomba are reachable on foot or by bus. Echo Point is about 2 km south of the train station along Katoomba Street — a 25-minute walk through the town centre, or a short taxi or rideshare ride. Scenic World is a further 1.5 km west of Echo Point, also walkable.
The Blue Mountains Bus Company runs local services linking the train station, the town centre, Echo Point and Scenic World. An Opal card works on all local buses. A hop-on hop-off tourist bus also does the circuit of main attractions. For the wider Blue Mountains — Leura, Wentworth Falls, Blackheath — the train is the easiest option; all are on the Blue Mountains Line within 15 minutes of Katoomba.
