Tenterfield Railway Museum

Heritage railway station museum preserving the old northern line and its rolling-stock stories.

Tenterfield Railway Museum occupies the old station precinct on the former Great Northern line. The station opened in the 1880s, and the museum keeps the platforms, railway buildings, equipment, and local rail story in one walkable place.

It is a better stop than a small-town museum has any right to be, especially if you like transport history or the way railway towns once worked. Pair it with a walk through central Tenterfield for the town's Federation-era buildings.
