East Point Reserve

A coastal Darwin reserve with harbour views, mangroves, wallabies, and wartime remnants.

East Point Reserve gives Darwin a wild edge without leaving town. The peninsula has coastal tracks, mangroves, picnic areas, and views over the harbour, plus the chance of seeing agile wallabies in the quieter parts of the reserve.

There is also wartime history here, including military remains from Darwin's Second World War defences. Come near sunset for softer light and cooler air, but bring insect repellent and respect crocodile and swimming warnings around the coast.
