Eating Out

Busselton's eating scene has grown well past the meat-pie-and-chips stereotype, helped along by proximity to the Margaret River wine country and a steady stream of summer visitors. Most of the better cafes cluster around the foreshore and Queen Street; the more ambitious dinner restaurants spread out into the surrounding suburbs and Geographe Bay.

Expect strong Asian and Mediterranean influences alongside good seafood — Geographe Bay scallops and dhufish are local. Coffee is uniformly excellent: like everywhere in Western Australia, indifferent espresso is grounds for a public complaint.
