Eagle Gorge is part of Kalbarri National Park's coastal cliff country, where the Murchison region drops into the Indian Ocean in bands of red and pale rock. The lookout gives a clean view into the gorge and along the surf-battered coast.
It is an easy stop by Kalbarri standards, but the landscape still feels big and exposed. In wildflower season the heath around the paths can be as memorable as the cliffs, while in hot weather the lack of shade makes even short walks feel serious.
