Things to Do

Kalbarri's appeal is almost entirely outdoors. The national park provides the main attractions — river gorges with walking trails and swimming holes, coastal cliffs with lookouts, and one of Western Australia's most dramatic recent additions, the Skywalk. Add in a productive fishing estuary, consistent surf, and some of WA's best wildflower country, and you have a genuinely versatile destination.

The gorge walks are the priority. Z Bend and The Loop in the river gorge section are the most dramatic; Natural Window and Red Bluff on the coast are equally rewarding and require less effort. The Skywalk at the top of the gorge offers the best single panorama of the whole Murchison canyon system.
