A wide sandy bay between Durrës and Cape Rodon, about 40 km west of Tirana, that has become the closest decent beach to the capital. Tirana families drive over for the weekend; pine woods come right down to the sand, and the water is calm and shallow.
There are a handful of beach clubs at the southern end, but the long northern stretch is still effectively wild. A pleasant escape on a hot day, particularly in June or September when the crowds are thinner.
