The best souvenirs from Tirana are traditional Albanian crafts — copper and filigree metalwork, hand-embroidered textiles, painted wooden items, and folk costumes. Souvenir shops on Luigj Gurakuqi street and around Skanderbeg Square carry a range; the old bazaar in Krujë (32km north) has more authentic craft goods at better prices.
For everyday shopping, the QTU mall on Abdyl Frasheri Road and Tirana East Gate mall are the main international retail centres, with European brands including Zara and Mango. The Turkish Bazaar near the Nene Teresa hospital has a more traditional market atmosphere with food, textiles, and household goods. The city's supermarkets are well-stocked.
