Tsaghkadzor is a small town and almost everything is reachable on foot. The Kecharis Monastery is about a 10-minute walk from the town centre; the ski lifts are 15–20 minutes from the main street or easily reached by the resort shuttle that runs during the ski season.
In summer, the gondola base station is the main transport hub. Bikes are available for hire from a couple of outfitters near the gondola station and are a good way to explore the wider valley. Taxis are plentiful for trips to nearby Hrazdan or to Makravank Monastery, which is a few kilometres outside town.
