The Albertina houses one of the largest and most important print rooms in the world: approximately 65,000 drawings and one million old master prints, covering six centuries of graphic art from Albrecht Dürer to Picasso. Beyond the graphics collection, the museum has acquired significant Impressionist and early 20th-century collections on permanent loan. The temporary exhibitions are consistently high quality. Located at the foot of the Augustinerstrasse next to the Staatsoper, the Albertina's neoclassical building also offers good views over the Burggarten.
