Palais Auersperg

Palais Auersperg is an early 18th-century baroque palace just outside Vienna's inner Ring. Its first plans were drawn up by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, with later work associated with Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt.

The palace has long been tied to music, balls, and public events, and it also has a place in 20th-century history through meetings of the Austrian resistance group O5 in 1945. Even when you are not attending an event, the exterior is worth noting while walking between the Rathaus, Parliament, and MuseumsQuartier.
