Sehrli Tendir (literally "magical tandoor") serves Azerbaijani food cooked over and around an open tandoor oven, which sits centre stage in the dining room. The lamb is the obvious order — try the saj, a sizzling iron platter of meat, peppers, tomatoes, and aubergines — but the breads and the kutabs straight from the oven are reason enough to come.
The atmosphere is lively, occasionally crowded, and the prices are reasonable. Good for groups. Vegetarians should look at the kutabs and the dolma made with vine leaves.
