Cafe culture is strong across Bosnia and Mostar is no exception. The old town has a string of small cafes on either side of the bridge, most serving the same menu of Bosnian coffee, Turkish-style tea, and lemonade. For a real Bosnian coffee with explanation, Caffe de Alma is the spot. For evening drinks, the riverside bars below the Stari Most are pleasant in summer; the Black Dog Pub on the west bank pours the best craft beer in town.
Nightlife is concentrated on the west side of the river around Rondo and Mepas Mall, where modern bars and a few clubs draw the local student crowd from the University of Mostar.
