Šadrvan is one of the oldest tourist-facing restaurants in Mostar and one of the easiest to recommend if you are new to Bosnian food. The courtyard sits under grapevines and the staff wear traditional dress, which can feel staged, but the kitchen takes the food seriously.
Try the mixed Bosnian plate — ćevapi, sudžukice, sausage, and stuffed peppers — or the slow-cooked Bosanski lonac stew. Pair it with a glass of Žilavka, the local white wine of Herzegovina. Service is brisk in the tourist season; ask for the upstairs terrace if you want a quieter spot.
