Buynovo Gorge is one of the great limestone cuts of the Rhodope Mountains, where the Buynovo River runs between high marble cliffs. A narrow road follows the bottom of the gorge, giving dramatic views even if you are only passing through by car.
The best panorama is from the Eagle's Eye viewpoint above the gorge. It takes more effort to reach, but the platform gives a wide look over the cliffs, forested slopes, and villages tucked into the mountains.
