Trogir's old town is an island barely 400 metres across. Everything within the walls is on foot — no vehicles are permitted inside. The main sights, restaurants, bars, and the waterfront promenade are all within a ten-minute walk of each other.
The bridge over the Foša channel connects the old town to the mainland, where buses stop and where the morning market operates. A second bridge on the south side of the island connects to Čiovo, which is large enough to warrant a bicycle or car if you want to explore further than the nearest beach.
Taxis and ride-hail services are available for the run to Split Airport (about 6 km) or into Split city. In summer it is worth booking a taxi in advance rather than hoping to find one on the street.
