Ærø is small enough that you can see most of the highlights in a long weekend, but it rewards a slower visit. The three main towns — Ærøskøbing, Marstal, and Søby — each have a distinct character, and the gentle countryside between them is laced with cycle paths, stone-fenced fields, and quiet beaches.
