Narva-Jõesuu's appeal is simple and elemental: a long clean beach, tall pines, and the quiet that comes with a resort town well past its gilded age. The sandy shore is the centrepiece, but the town rewards those who look beyond it — grand wooden villas peek through the trees along the main promenade, and the lighthouse at the river mouth is a short walk from the beach. There is not a lot to do here, and that is rather the point.
