A small park between Vesijärvi and a smaller pond (Pikku-Vesijärvi), Lanu-puisto is named after the sculptor Olavi Lanu and is dotted with his large, abstract human figures made of concrete and natural materials. The figures emerge from rocks, lean against tree trunks, recline in the grass — a quiet but striking outdoor sculpture trail.
The park is at its best in summer, but the figures are equally affecting in snow. It is a 20-minute walk from the city centre, easily combined with the lakefront walk.
