Medieval Greystone Church of Hollola

The medieval greystone church of Hollola is one of the best historic excursions from Lahti. Completed around 1480, it is a sturdy Finnish stone church with a plain exterior and a much richer interior.

The highlight is the surviving medieval woodwork, including carvings from the 1400s. It is worth the short trip from Lahti if you are interested in old churches, local history, or the quieter side of Päijät-Häme.
