The food scene is small but more interesting than the village's size would suggest. Most restaurants lean on local Lappish ingredients — reindeer, Arctic char, salmon, cloudberries, lingonberries — and serve them in heavy portions designed for cold weather. Outside hotels you will find a handful of independent restaurants on the main street.
