Founded in 1882 and still the town's sailing club, working out of the Centre Nautique Pierre Mallet on the port. The teaching fleet covers most of what floats: Optimists and Open Skiffs for children, catamarans, windsurfers, keelboats, and foiling for anyone who has got past the basics.
Courses run from age four upwards, by the week in the holidays or as private coaching by arrangement. For sailors who already know what they are doing, boards, dinghies and catamarans are hired out ready to sail, in two-hour slots.
The bay is a good place to learn precisely because it is enclosed — the water stays flat when the ocean outside is not.
