Based on the Arcachon side but teaching on the ocean, at the Plage de la Salie south of the bay mouth — there is no surf inside the basin, so getting to the waves is part of what you are paying for. The surf van collects from Arcachon, Pyla-sur-Mer and La Teste-de-Buch, and the price includes transport, boards, wetsuits and insurance.
Lessons take anyone from about eight upwards, as two-hour sessions from around €50 or as courses of three to fifteen sessions. They also take groups up to sixty, which is unusual and useful if you are organising something.
The season runs April to November.
