Temple Protestant

Royan's Protestant temple is one of the town's postwar modernist churches, built between 1953 and 1957 as Royan was being remade after heavy wartime destruction. The exterior is restrained, while the white interior uses clean lines and light rather than heavy ornament.

It is a short architectural stop, best seen together with Notre-Dame de Royan and the central market. Together they show how boldly Royan rebuilt in the 1950s.
