Beaune has some of the best restaurants in Burgundy outside Dijon, which is saying something. The local cuisine runs to boeuf bourguignon, escargots, and jambon persillé — robust dishes that hold up to the big reds they accompany. Prices are high in the wine-tour-oriented restaurants on the main streets; venture off-piste and you will eat just as well for less.
