Positioned beside the Saturday market square, this straightforward bistrot does exactly what the name promises: market-driven cooking at sensible prices. On market days the menu is chalk-boarded from whatever the chef bought that morning; midweek it settles into classic bistrot territory — steak-frites, omelettes, salads, a plate of local charcuterie to start. The Brie de Meaux, bought from the fromagerie stall directly across the square, is always in good nick. Tables outside in the square in summer; inside the room is tight but warm. Service is brisk rather than gracious, but the cooking is honest and the house wine is drinkable.
