Day Trips

The Presqu'île de Crozon, directly south of Brest across the Rade, is the most dramatic day trip from the city. The peninsula juts into the Atlantic and is ringed by cliffs, sea stacks, and beaches of extraordinary quality. The drive around it takes a full day. You can reach the peninsula by ferry from the Port de Commerce.

Quimper, about 70 kilometres south, is Brittany's most Breton city — the capital of Cornouaille, with a Gothic cathedral, a good museum of Breton art, and a well-preserved medieval centre. It is reachable by train in about an hour.
