By train: Le Havre is served by direct trains from Paris Saint-Lazare, journey time around two hours. Trains run frequently throughout the day. The station is on the eastern edge of the Perret district, a 15-minute walk from the sea front.
By ferry: Brittany Ferries and DFDS operate regular services to and from Portsmouth and Newhaven in England, with crossings taking 3–8 hours depending on the service. The ferry terminal is right in the port, easy to reach by taxi or bus from the station.
By car: Le Havre is linked to the A13 motorway from Paris (200 km, about two hours). The Pont de Normandie crosses the Seine estuary and connects to the D-Day beaches and Caen without going through the city.
