Cures Marines

The Cures Marines is a vast Second Empire seafront hotel and seawater therapy spa, opened in 1912 and recently restored. The white facade dominates the inland end of the boardwalk — a long, columned building with cupolas at either end, looking out over the beach.

The spa is open to non-residents who book in advance. Even if you skip the treatments, walk past the building to see what a Belle Époque French seaside resort was meant to look like in its full ambition.
