The Hundertwasserschule is Wittenberg's bright architectural surprise: a school transformed with the irregular lines, strong colours, roof greenery, and anti-grid spirit associated with Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. In a town dominated by Reformation history, it adds a completely different visual register.
You do not need long here, and because it is an active school the visit is mainly about the exterior and any public access available at the time. Still, it is a worthwhile detour for architecture-minded travellers or anyone who wants proof that Wittenberg is not only Luther, churches, and memorial plaques.
