Neanderthal Museum

The Neanderthal Museum is dedicated to the people whose remains gave Neanderthals their name. Exhibits explain Neanderthal life, the archaeology of the nearby valley, and how human evolution is reconstructed from bones, tools, and DNA.

It sits outside central Dusseldorf, but it is close enough to work as a focused half-day trip for anyone interested in prehistory or early humans.
