Wilhelm-Marx-Haus was completed in 1924 and is often described as Germany's first high-rise office building. At 57 metres and 13 above-ground floors, it is modest by modern standards, but it marked a new kind of urban building in Dusseldorf.
The building was designed by Wilhelm Kreis, once housed the Dusseldorf Stock Exchange, and still stands close to the centre. It is mainly an exterior architecture stop, easy to combine with Konigsallee and the Altstadt.
