Allwetterzoo Munster is one of the city's major family attractions, designed so that covered walkways and indoor sections make the zoo workable even in poor weather. That practical idea suits Munster, where rain should not automatically cancel a day out.
The zoo is large enough to justify several hours, especially with children. It is outside the historic centre, so plan transport and treat it as a dedicated outing rather than a quick detour.
