The Senfstube is the most Bautzen restaurant in Bautzen: every dish on the menu uses Bautz'ner mustard in some form. There are mustard soups, mustard-glazed pork knuckles, mustard ice cream, even mustard liqueur. The gimmick sounds tiresome but the cooking is actually fine, and the cellar dining room is one of the more characterful spaces in the old town.
The shop attached sells every variety of Bautzen mustard, including limited editions that you do not see in supermarkets — fig, honey, cherry, beer. Open daily; busy on summer weekends, so reserve.
